There are countless, exceptional teacher preparation programs! Unfortunately, very few offer development of global communication for ALL across multiple levels in education. In my educational preparation, I learned about effective communication with staff, children, and a little about parents. However, no attention was given to my foundational communication skills, what they say about me, how they influence my interactions with others, and ways to further develop them to connect to our global community. Global Communication for the Educational Community broadens the scope for all educational settings, while still starting with the individual adult. What are your preferred modes of communication? What is your emotional intelligence score, and how does it impact your interactions with others? How do you respond to conflict? Evaluating these questions lays the foundation for your communications with your school community. First things first... the relationship. This course is for ALL EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS. Here's what you get:

  • 3-5 hrs. in-person/virtual professional development
  • The Child: verbal and non-verbal communication to elevate the global child’s development (from traditional to empowering language that yields “I can …” efficacy)
  • The Adult (Parent AND Educator): setting the tone; professional modes of communication (what, when, who); two-way conversations vs. one-sided prognosis; newsletters and general, class communication; meaningful parent-teacher conferences; tough conversations; and family engagement for ALL.
  • The Environment: analysis of what the environment communicates to the child, building a professional relationship with co-workers, healthy conflict-resolution strategies, keeping your eye on the prize (the child), meaningful team/staff meetings, and accountability.
